No. 9 Alberta iela is another sample of eclectic turn-of-the-century style, built in 1901 as an apartment house, designed by Konstantīns Pēkšēns. Pēkšēns was one of the originators of the Latvian architectural Art Nouveau movement and "author" of hundreds of Rīga's masonry and wooden buildings, including Nr. 12 Alberta iela.
