It's a Small World After All

Growing up, my friend Michael (who lived two houses away) had two sisters. His little sister grew up, married a journalist, Josh, and moved to Latvia for a year! Josh reports for the Baltic Observer, a weekly English paper, and Lorraine found a job with Coopers and Lybrand. I called and we arranged to get together.

The flowers were still out in Gaida's garden. I asked Rondo how he was doing - he scratched his head saying, "O.K., I guess." He's getting up in years, but you can't tell by his bark! In Riga, I approach our rendevous point, the Freedom Monument. We talked politics over coffee, piragi, and honey cake at the White Rose Café, then walked it off and stopped for some pictures. (That's pretty much my theater outfit - maybe a small faux pas!)
